What is a Proxy?

A proxy is an intermediary server between your computer and the internet. When you use a proxy, all your internet requests are first sent to the proxy server, which then forwards those requests to the final destination.

How it works

Send request: Your computer sends a request to the proxy server.
Forward request: The proxy sends the request to the destination (e.g., website).
Receive response: The destination sends a response back to the proxy server.
Forward response: The proxy sends the response back to your computer.

Benefits

Anonymity: Hides your real IP address.
Security: Encrypts your internet connection.
Bypass firewalls: Access blocked websites.
Access control: Control internet usage.
Improved performance: Caches website data for faster loading.

Types of proxies

Forward proxy: Forwards requests from your computer to the internet.
Reverse proxy: Protects web servers, load balancing.
Transparent proxy: Forwards requests without modifying information.
Anonymous proxy: Hides your IP address but reveals that you are using a proxy.
Elite proxy: Hides your IP address and does not reveal that you are using a proxy.

Examples

Note

Choose a proxy from a reputable provider. Proxy can reduce internet speed.
