Datacenter Proxy
Datacenter proxy, also known as data center proxy, is a type of proxy that uses IP addresses provided by servers located in data centers, not by Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
How it works
Similar to other types of proxies, a datacenter proxy acts as an intermediary between your computer and the internet. When you send a request to access a website, this request will be sent to the datacenter proxy first, then the proxy will forward the request to the destination website and send the result back to you.
Advantages of datacenter proxy
High speed: Because the servers are usually located in data centers with high-speed internet connections, datacenter proxies often have fast access speeds. Stability: The connection is usually more stable than residential proxies, with less interruption. Low cost: Usually lower cost than residential proxies. Easy to manage: Datacenter proxies are often provided by professional proxy service providers, making them easy to manage and use.
Disadvantages
Easy to detect: Because they use IP addresses that do not belong to regular internet users, datacenter proxies are more easily detected and blocked by websites. Less anonymity: Lower level of anonymity than residential proxies.
Applications
Website testing: Test websites from different geographical locations. Social media management: Manage multiple social media accounts from different IP addresses. Market research: Collect market data from different websites.
Note
Choose a reputable provider: Choose a reputable datacenter proxy provider to ensure service quality and information security. Compliance with the law: The use of datacenter proxies must comply with the law and the regulations of the website you access.
Comparison with residential proxy
| Feature | Datacenter Proxy | Residential Proxy |
|---|---|---|
| IP Address | From data center | From ISP (Internet service provider) |
| Speed | Fast | Can be slower |
| Stability | High | Can be less stable |
| Cost | Low | High |
| Anonymity | Low | High |

Depending on your needs and intended use, you can choose the appropriate type of proxy.
